So we have been aware of the existence of a new Poco product for a while now which popped out in late March on Mi India’s RF Exposure page. But this week, the Xiaomi owned sub-brand revealed a launch date for the new Poco M2 Pro.
There was a lot of speculation surrounding the product, whether it will be a flagship product or a new mid-ranger and after seeing the specs, we are certain that its a new budget product which will be placed under the Poco X2 that launched a few months back.
Thanks to our source, we now have a full specsheet for the M2 Pro. For starters, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC with 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and a 64/128GB storage variant. As for the battery, the phone will carry forward the 5,020mAh cell that we first saw on the Redmi Note 9 series.
From the teasers that the brand put out, we saw a quad rear camera module, and yes the main camera here would we a 48MP sensor, coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the selfies, you will get a 16MP sensor. The phone will come with support for 33W fast charging.

The phone will come with a massive 6.67-inch DotDisplay 20:9 display with a center punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the phone will be available in three shades just like the Note 9 series on what the new Poco M2 Pro is based on.
The phone will be launched on July 7th with sales expected to commence shortly on Flipkart. As for the pricing, we got told a starting price of INR 14,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB variant.
