Xiaomi after splitting the budget smartphone segment to Redmi, is all set to announce a new series of smartphones under their CC brand. The new brand is primarily being aimed at the young and creative people. The smartphones under the CC series are slated to come with top of the line hardware along with new age designs.
The first phone expected under the new line up is the CC9 which has been making the rounds on the internet. The leaked renders show a smartphone looking exactly like the Mi 9 with a dewdrop notch and slim bezels.
There isn’t much information on the smartphones other than the fact that the launch of the new series is slated for July 2nd. At the Beijing launch event, we expect to see a phone with a triple camera on the back, accompanied by the Xiaomi X Meitu collaboration with a flip camera module just like the one on ASUS 6Z. Along with it, the CC9 and a toned-down version called CC9e are also expected to be launched.
Xiaomi CC9e & Xiaomi CC9 specifications
Some of the earlier leaks point out, to a 6.39-inch screen on the CC9e. The selfies are to be handled by a 32MP front camera, while a 48MP shooter is reportedly the primary one on the back. Other rumored specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC and a 4,000mAh battery with support for 18W quick charging.
On the other hand, the CC9 is expected to come with a slightly bigger display than the CC9e with a flip camera module. The module is may carry a main 48MP camera which could act as a selfie shooter as well. The use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC has been pointed out in a couple of leaks along with a 4,000mAh battery just like on the CC9e.
Both the phone will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a glass back design. One thing to note here is that these specs and renders are just compiled from the numerous leaks available right now and we’ll have to wait for some official confirmation from Xiaomi
