Samsung is all set to announce the Galaxy A80 smartphone in the Indian market this month after the global rollout. The phone is the first from Samsung that comes with a rotating camera instead of a notch or a cutout. Galaxy A80 comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity Super AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio. In terms of processing power, the phone comes powered by the latest Octa-Core Snapdragon 730G SoC with 8GB of RAM and runs Android Pie with Samsung One UI on top.
The phone features a rotating camera module with a 48-megapixel primary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, secondary 8-megapixel 123° ultra-wide-angle lens and a 3D Depth camera for Live Focus by scanning objects for measurement and depth. The phone is expected to come at a steep price of Rs 39,990 for the base model while the top end variant will retail for Rs 44,990.
We also got the confirmation about the launch of the Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch from our sources. The Watch Active is the toned-down version of the Galaxy Watch and comes with a 1.1-inch (360 x 360) Full Color Always-On-Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the Exynos 9110 Dual-core 1.15 GHz with 768MB RAM and 4GB Internal Memory. The watch runs on Tizen-based Wearable OS 4.0 and has 5ATM + IP68 water resistance.
On the connectivity front, the watch comes with Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, A-GPS/Glonass and a 230mAh battery. Along with this, the watch comes with a Blood Pressure monitor and heart rate sensor. The watch is expected to land in India in Silver, Black, Rose Gold colors and is expected to be priced at around Rs 15,990.
