OnePlus just showcased their 5G smartphone prototype at the MWC just yesterday. Building upon on it furthermore, the brand today announced that it will be among the first few OEM to launch smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform in India, and plans to work with Qualcomm on 5G trials.
OnePlus has also partnered with Qualcomm to launch the “5G Apps of Tomorrow” challenge among global developers that will award a total of €250,000 in cash for the winners. The company aims to integrate industry resources and push forward for the next steps of 5G apps for users.
Commenting on the same, Pete Lau, Founder and CEO, OnePlus, said:
