[Exclusive] Here’s your first look at the OnePlus 8 Pro in flesh

The new OnePlus 8 series launch is just right around the corner and the leaks have started pouring in. We have brought you all the hottest OnePlus leaks in the past and this time is no different.

Thanks to our ‘Source’ we now have a first look at the upcoming OnePlus smartphone in full glory. Over the last couple of weeks, we have seen the renders and photoshopped images going around, which gave a glimpse of what the next product would be. From the image we got, it is evident that the phone will sport slightly bigger dimensions to that of the current OnePlus Pro series of smartphones.

You have a curved AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the corner. As per the source, the phone is running on the newest OxygenOS build with Android 10 at the base. There is a quad-camera setup on the back, with the ToF sensor added to the mix.OnePlus is slated to pack the newer IMX 686 sensor from Sony here along with the Snapdragon 865 with up to 12GB of RAM. At this point, our source did not confirm the max storage variant that the phone comes in. This new series will be an all 5G, even for the markets where there is no coverage. The newest and probably the most talked-about feature will be the 120Hz refresh rate display that OnePlus has already teased.

Apart from this, there will be the regular OnePlus 8 which will slightly be smaller than the 8 Pro with a triple camera setup on the back while keeping other specs unchanged. Coming to the third and the cheaper variant in the OnePlus 8 series that has been dubbed as ‘OnePlus 8 lite’ will be coming and carrying this moniker.

As per our source, the cheaper variant will follow Apple’s naming convention and would be called ‘OnePlus 8s’ and will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset. This variant will be launched towards the end of Q2.

We are hearing the launch could take place towards the end of April due to the on-going global Corona Virus outbreak with sales commencing early May. We will be bringing you the pricing details in the coming week. So stay tuned for updates.
