OnePlus 8 series smartphone launch is just around the corner and that hasn’t stopped the leaks to pour in. By now we have seen almost all the info from the renders to the marketing material and specification leak except for the price.

Though the European prices are floating around, thanks to WinFuture.de, we haven’t seen any Indian pop up yet. From our ‘sources’ and partners at True-Tech.net, we now have learned the Indian prices for both the smartphone model as well as the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z and Warp Charge 30 wireless charger dock.

From the information we got, the OnePlus 8 series will be a pricy affair this time, with an average jump of $100 when compared to the previous models. The base variant of the OnePlus 8 is slated to be priced between INR 43,990 and INR 45,990, whereas the top variant could go from INR 47,990 to INR 49,990. Coming to the OnePlus 8 Pro, the base variant should start between INR 61,990 and INR 63,990 while the top variant would be between INR 65,990 and INR 67,990.

Along with the smartphones, OnePlus will also announce the new OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bluetooth earphones, which according to our source would replace the generation 1 Bullets Wireless and go up for sale at INR 3,990. Another exciting product from the brand will be the Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger Dock for the OnePlus 8 Pro and this could be priced between INR 4,990 and INR 5,990. Though our sources are very confident about these prices, in any case, we should not forget that leaks are leaks and they should be taken with a grain of salt. We have seen OnePlus change the prices last minute on many occasions so there is a possibility of that happening here as well.

OnePlus itself has been drip-feeding information about the new OnePlus 8 series and we have some of the key specifications. For instance, both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 processor along with the X55 5G modem. The bigger OnePlus 8 Pro will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, running Android 10 with the latest build of OxygenOS on top.

OnePlus 8

According to the leaked specifications, the OnePlus 8 will come in at a smaller footprint with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display. This most definitely is a panel sourced from Samsung with a punch-hole on the left-top corner. The display refresh rate here will be capped at 90Hz, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 7T.

The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC with two RAM and storage variant making their way to India. As for the optics, the phone will feature a triple camera setup on the back same as that of the OnePlus 7T. You would get a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 as the main sensor, coupled with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Battery capacity will also see a jump from 3,800mAh on 7T to 4,300mAh on the OnePlus 8.

OnePlus 8 Pro

This will be the bigger model in the lineup with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. OnePlus will go all out on with the 8 Pro packing a 120Hz display here with a dedicated MEMC chip. Snapdragon 865 will be present here as well with two RAM and storage variant. Unlike the OnePlus 8, the 8 Pro will have a quad-camera setup on the back, with the main sensor being the 48-megapixel IMX 689 sensor, 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto and a 5-megapixel color correction sensor.

There will be a 4,500mAh cell powering the phone with support for Warp 30T fast charging, 30W wireless charging with the Warp 30 Wireless charger and a 5W reverse wireless charging. The phone is also slated to come with IP68 water and dust resistant rating which will be missing on the OnePlus 8.

The smartphones along with the accessories will be launched on April 14th and you can catch the launch-stream on OnePlus.in or the brands’s YouTube channel.
