Samsung just officially announced their first foldable smartphone aimed for the masses. While the phone costs roughly $2,000, it has some nifty features up its sleeve. Another brand set to achieve this feat is Huawei. The brand has been teasing their Foldable smartphone for a while now on their social media accounts and now we have a leaked image of the same.
From the leaks it is evident that the phone will officially be known as Huawei Mate X. The image that has been taken directly from the MWC venue where the phone will be announced two days from now also has “The world’s first 5G foldable smartphone” mentioned on it. Apart from this, the phone has a narrow secondary screen just like the one we saw on Samsung’s Galaxy Fold.
The Huawei Mate X is believed to be powered by Kirin 980 processor with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Considering that these are the first foldable phones hitting the market, the phone will be similarly priced as that of Galaxy Fold.
The unveiling is scheduled for February 24 at 13:00 UTC (1 PM IST) in Barcelona and we will be bringing the updates to you for the same.
